As one of my Christmas presents, my husband bought me Lee Frost "50 Photo Projects". This inspired me to go out and try some of these photo projects out. One project is to pick a color and take as many photos of that color. As we walked on the beach, I asked my husband, what color should I start with and he said, start with Brown.... Brown?! Seriously??
So I started with brown and then it kind of morphed into brown/green to what I have below. Not exactly what I had in mind but I like it.

About Me
Welcome,
I've been pondering for a long time what to do with my photography. Before i dive into what I plan on doing with this blog, let me introduce myself first and explain how I got myself into photography.
My family was one of the many who immigrated from the USSR to USA after Chernobyl Exploded. My father was a professional photographer in Ukraine who was famous for walking around the black sea with his pet lemur and parrot. Then at some point in my childhood i decided i wanted to give photography and asked for a nikon slr camera. I remember going on the train with my father, and after a long train ride to manhattan followed by lots of walking we finally arrived at BH Photo and Video Store. That was the day where i finally got my first camera. I remember going through numerous films, even developing 15 rolls after one vacation! These years followed with me writing down at what settings i took the picture so i can learn from my photos. However that took forever to really understand what i was doing and how i can improve my skill. After a few years i finally upgraded to my first digital camera. Most people prefer Cannon and Nikon but i have always loved Sony DSLR camera's and to this day i still shoot with a Sony Camera. Upgrading to a Digital camera allowed me to shoot as many pictures as i want, and correct my exposures on the spot. Thats the beauty of digital photography, you have countless amount of pictures you can take, to experiment, to correct, toss and finally love.
So back to me, am i a professional photographer? Far from it. Am i an amateur? Most likely? Do i love taking pictures, looking through the lens window, snapping on that lens, yes. For a long time I've been wondering what to do with my photos. I searched through google what other people do, read other people's blogs and finally decided, why can't i have a blog? Not that anyone will read it but maybe my husband might. If he does, well thats one more person then none.
Enjoy!
Sincerely Yours
